Week 13 of the 2023 NFL regular season

Week 13 of the 2023 NFL regular season is here. To accompany your viewing experience, let’s run through a Philadelphia Eagles-focused rooting guide for all of the games.

EAGLES GAME

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES: With an Eagles win, their chances of clinching the No. 1 seed improve from 66% to 92%. With an Eagles loss, their chances go down from 66% to 49%. Gotta win!

EAGLES DRAFT PICK WATCH

DETROIT LIONS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS: It might be a little cute to root for the Lions to win since they’re still theoretically in play for the No. 1 seed. But they currently have a 4% chance of getting a first-round bye and a win only boosts it to 6%. Meanwhile, the Eagles own the Saints’ second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Birds will be hoping that selection is as early as it can realistically be. Root for the Lions.

ATLANTA FALCONS at NEW YORK JETS: With the Eagles owning the Saints’ second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, they’ll want to see a non-New Orleans team win the NFC South. Plus a Jets loss gives them a chance to eventually get ahead of the Giants and/or the Commanders in the draft order. Root for the Falcons.

CAROLINA PANTHERS at TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS: With the Eagles owning the Saints’ second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, they’ll want to see a non-New Orleans team win the NFC South. The Eagles also want to see the Panthers stay ahead of the Giants and Commanders in the draft order. Root for the Buccaneers.

Here’s the current 2024 NFL Draft order for non-playoff teams, per Tankathon:

MIAMI DOLPHINS at WASHINGTON COMMANDERS: The Eagles want to see the Commanders damage their draft positioning with a win. Root for the Commanders.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: The Eagles want to see the Pats stay ahead of the Giants and Commanders in the draft order. Root for the Chargers.

ARIZONA CARDINALS at PITTSBURGH STEELERS: The Eagles want to see the Cards stay ahead of the Giants and Commanders in the draft order. Root for the Steelers.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS at TENNESSEE TITANS: A Titans loss gives them a chance to eventually get ahead of the Giants and/or the Commanders in the draft order. Root for the Colts.

CLEVELAND BROWNS at LOS ANGELES RAMS: A Rams loss gives them a chance to eventually get ahead of the Giants and/or the Commanders in the draft order. Root for the Browns.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS at GREEN BAY PACKERS: A Packers loss gives them a chance to eventually get ahead of the Giants and/or the Commanders in the draft order. KC winning also serves to improve the Eagles’ strength of victory tiebreaker. Root for the Chiefs.

CINCINNATI BENGALS at JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS: A Bengals loss gives them a chance to eventually get ahead of the Giants and/or the Commanders in the draft order. Also, a Jags win puts Doug Pederson one step closer to leading Jacksonville to back-to-back AFC South division titles. Go Doug! Root for the Jaguars.

WHAT’S LEFT

DENVER BRONCOS at HOUSTON TEXANS: Doesn’t matter. But DeMeco Ryans is much more rootable than Sean Payton.

BYE WEEK TEAMS

New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, Minnesota Vikings
