Colts
Colts DE Kwity Paye discussed his interactions with first-round DE Laiatu Latu before the draft. Paye is excited about the potential they have playing together and believes it aligns with successful teams’ strategies.
“We had a few conversations and worked together during training sessions,” Paye shared on the team’s website. “After watching his college film and observing his rushing techniques, I thought, ‘If he joins our team, it would be fantastic. It would benefit us greatly as well.’”
“I think it will pose a significant challenge for other teams. Teams that advance far in the playoffs, like the Chiefs, the 49ers, and the Eagles, have a strong second D-line that rivals other teams’ first D-lines. That’s the kind of synergy we’re aiming for here. There won’t be a drop-off. When the second D-line enters, the O-line doesn’t get a breather, unlike when facing the first team.”
Texans
Texans HC DeMeco Ryans believes the variety in the team’s wide receiver group makes them a tough challenge for defenses.
“Having different body types and styles of play creates problems for the defense, right?” Ryans stated. “We aim to create dilemmas for defenses, and with those three players, we can do just that because of their distinct skills and capabilities.”
Ryans expressed his satisfaction with WR Stefon Diggs being on the team, highlighting his positive impact.
“Working with him has been enjoyable. It’s great to see the chemistry developing in the locker room with him, our quarterback, other receivers, and players on both sides of the ball,” Ryans noted about Diggs. “He’s a perfect fit for what we do here.”
Titans
Titans WR Tyler Boyd mentioned that the presence of HC Brian Callahan influenced his decision to join Tennessee.
“Having Callahan here was a major factor for me,” Boyd explained. “He’s an exceptional coach, and I’ve been familiar with his offense for a while, so it felt like the right move. It just felt like a good fit.”
Callahan sees Boyd as a perfect fit for the slot position in the team’s offensive strategy.
“He has an advantage over other free agents because of his experience with the offense’s nuances, expectations, route details, and coaching insights he’s gained over the years,” Callahan mentioned.
Titans QB Will Levis hopes to learn from Boyd and recognizes his immediate impact on the team.
“Watching his performance in game footage, executing plays exactly as instructed, provides valuable insight from someone who has been part of the offense and understands the pressure of live games,” Levis remarked. “It’s a great learning opportunity.”
Boyd is eager to share his knowledge and learn from his teammates as well.
“I can contribute and learn from my teammates, and vice versa,” Boyd emphasized. “By leveraging each other’s strengths and working together, we can elevate our game to new heights.“
