Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links
Ranking the NFL’s top 10 offensive coordinators entering 2024 – PFF
4. Kellen Moore, Philadelphia Eagles
Although Moore will be on his third team in three seasons, his work over the past couple of seasons, especially while with Dallas, merits him a place on this list. Over Moore’s four years as Dallas’ offensive coordinator, the Cowboys’ offense generated 0.066 EPA per play, which ranked fifth over that span. And whereas Justin Herbert had his lowest-graded season (77.9) prior to Moore’s arrival to Los Angeles in 2023, he bounced back during Moore’s lone season with the team and earned an 85.5 PFF overall grade.

Jalen Hurts and Cam Jurgens will team up to set pass protections. “There are different ways of approaching it,” Moore said. “Obviously really when you’ve been around both aspects of it, I think at the end of the day those two guys have to team up together. Ultimately sometimes the QB can see a little bit of a wider lens. His perspective may be a little bit different. He does have a trump card ability to make those adjustments when necessary. But Cam certainly gives us the ability to speed the process up, make a decision. Jalen can work with him and team up together. Those guys are doing an excellent job the first couple days. Just continue to build on that.” #JimmySays: This is one of the concerns transitioning from Jason Kelce to Jurgens. I have no questions about Jurgens’ intelligence, but mastering line calls comes over time, with thousands of reps, and Jurgens doesn’t have that yet.

James Bradberry. I have been highly critical of Bradberry during the offseason. He was awful last year and I have been anxiously awaiting his departure. Bradberry spoke to the media recently and I have to give him a lot of credit for his candor and self-awareness. Bradberry noticed the Eagles adding corners so he went to the coaches and brought up moving to safety. This would give him a chance to get reps and maybe carve out a role to stick with the team. “I have a bigger body,” he said. “I have the size of a safety. I feel like I can cover tight ends. I covered tight ends last year. I covered tight ends when I was with the Giants. I feel like I’m smart enough to learn the role. Of course, I didn’t always show that I was physical last year, but I feel like I can be physical.”

8. It’s early, but the more I think about it, the more I suspect Zack Baun is going to end up starting at off-ball linebacker opposite Devin White. Yeah, he’s competing with Nakobe Dean during camp, but I feel like if the Eagles wanted Dean to be the starter they would have just given him the job, kind of like they gave Tyler Steen the right guard spot without any sort of training camp competition.
Eagles sideline reporter Howard Eskin apologizes in return to WIP – PFT
Howard Eskin, a Philly sports radio icon and long-time Eagles sideline reporter, received a season-long banishment from Phillies games after a female employee at Citizens Bank Park accused him of making an unwanted advance. The 76ers suspended him from covering the team for the coming season, too. The Eagles have taken no action, other than to say they are monitoring the situation. Via the Philadelphia Inquirer, Eskin returned to his WIP weekend show on Saturday after a month off the air.

Cowboys edge rusher Sam Williams tears ACL, will miss 2024 season – Blogging The Boys
The Cowboys are no stranger to ACL tears as All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs and 2023 third-round linebacker DeMarvion Overshown are currently rehabbing the same setback from a year ago. This is devastating for Williams, who was looking to take the leap in his performance that he didn’t quite reach in his second season.
Brian Daboll won’t promise Evan Neal will be ready Week 1 — what it means – Big Blue View
New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll would not promise on Sunday that offensive tackle Evan Neal would be ready to start the regular season. Neal is on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list as his rehab from offseason ankle surgery has not gone as anticipated. “I’d say this, it’s day-to-day, and each day he’s getting better,” Daboll said. “When he’s ready to go, he’ll be ready to go.”
