Top Fantasy Football Week 17 Kickers to add to your lineup, featuring Cairo Santos

Published on

Is your fantasy football kicker going into a bye week? Or are you one of the many people who roster a different kicker each week based on matchups? Then you’re in luck. Each week of the 2023 NFL season, BetFTW is bringing you a ranking of top kicker streamers to hopefully give you that edge you need in your next matchup. Kickers aren’t the most important position in a fantasy lineup, but they can absolutely make or break a game. So, you want to make sure you have a good one. Here’s a look at the top options on waiver wires this week.

  1. Cairo Santos, Chicago Bears (vs. Atlanta Falcons)

At this point, Santos feels like a safe bet. He’s a top-10 fantasy kicker this season, averaging about 10 points over his last six games, and most importantly for you, he’s rostered in just nine percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues.

  2. Nick Folk, Tennessee Titans (at Houston Texans)

I’m not sure Folk has the highest ceiling this week — he hasn’t cracked double-digit fantasy points since Week 9 — but you can be sure he won’t cost you points. Folk has been one of the most accurate kickers this year, nailing 28 of 29 attempts.

  3. Matt Gay, Indianapolis Colts (vs. Las Vegas Raiders)

Gay has been a mainstay on this list the last few weeks, though he’s disappointed in two of his last three games. Against a surging Raiders defense, I’m not expecting a massive rebound, but he’s still one of the highest-scoring kickers available.

  4. Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals (at Philadelphia Eagles)

Arizona’s offense hasn’t given Prater much of a chance this season, and that continued in last week’s loss to Chicago. However, against a struggling Eagles defense, I could see Arizona giving him a shot to put a few through the uprights.

  5. Joey Slye, Washington Commanders (vs. San Francisco 49ers)

Slye’s inclusion really just comes down to a belief that any positive drive for Washington will stall before they reach the end zone. And I do expect at least a couple positive drives with Jacoby Brissett taking over under center. Gannett may earn revenue from sports betting operators for audience referrals to betting services.
