Is your fantasy football kicker going into a bye week? Or are you one of the many people who roster a different kicker each week based on matchups? Then you’re in luck. Each week of the 2023 NFL season, BetFTW is bringing you a ranking of top kicker streamers to hopefully give you that edge you need in your next matchup. Kickers aren’t the most important position in a fantasy lineup, but they can absolutely make or break a game. So, you want to make sure you have a good one. Here’s a look at the top options on waiver wires this week.
- Matt Gay, Indianapolis Colts (at Cincinnati Bengals)
In this battle between backup quarterbacks, I expect to see a bunch of field goals on both sides. And while Cincy’s kicker isn’t available in most leagues, Gay can still be had in 59 percent of Yahoo leagues despite scoring the fifth-most points at his position. - Wil Lutz, Denver Broncos (at Los Angeles Chargers)
Before Denver’s struggles against Houston last week, Lutz was averaging about 12 fantasy points over his previous three games. LA’s inconsistent defense could provide a good opportunity for him to bounce back. - Jake Moody, San Francisco 49ers (vs. Seattle Seahawks)
There isn’t a hotter offense in the NFL than San Francisco’s, which is actually hurting Moody’s ceiling because of how often they’re getting into the end zone. He does seem to have a safe floor of about six points, though. - Nick Folk, Tennessee Titans (at Miami Dolphins)
I fully expect the Dolphins to blow out the Titans here, but the potential for more possessions should give Folk plenty of opportunities to score you some fantasy points. - Brandon McManus, Jacksonville Jaguars (at Cleveland Browns)
McManus might have been a little higher if Trevor Lawrence’s status to play was more certain, but the potential for C.J. Beathard to start changes the math a little. Either way, against this defense, McManus could have a busy day.
