The NFL has officially announced the start of its 18-week regular-season schedule for 2024, which will begin on Thursday night, September 5th in Kansas City. Philadelphia will play a significant role in the opening weekend kickoff, with a Friday night matchup against Green Bay from Brazil. The season will conclude with 16 division games in Week 18 – two on Saturday, January 4th and 14 on Sunday, January 5th, making for a total of 272 regular season games played.
The NFL.com recently ranked the ten best games of the 2024 slate, and the Eagles made the list with their Week 8 trip to Cincinnati highlighted. The matchup will feature Jalen Hurts vs. Joe Burrows, Saquon Barkley vs. the Bengals defense, and two All-Pro caliber wide receivers on the outside for both teams. The game is scheduled to take place in Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, on Sunday, October 27th at 4:25 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted on CBS.
Another game to look forward to is the Week 10 matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings at NRG Stadium in Houston. Amon-Ra St. Brown will face off against Derek Stingley Jr., while both quarterbacks are expected to have explosive performances. The Baltimore Ravens will head to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., for a Week 12 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. This game will take place on Monday, November 25th at 8:15 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted on ESPN.
San Francisco 49ers will travel to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., for a Week 16 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The game is scheduled for Sunday, December 22nd at 4:25 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted on CBS.
Chicago Bears will host the Green Bay Packers in Week 11 at Soldier Field in Chicago. The Packers have dominated the Bears in recent years, but with new quarterback Caleb Williams leading the Bears, this could be an exciting matchup. The game will take place on Sunday, November 17th at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted on FOX.
The San Francisco 49ers will have a rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. This game is scheduled for Sunday, October 20th at 4:25 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted on FOX.
Lastly, the Baltimore Ravens will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11 at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. This matchup is always a heavyweight battle, and it will be the first time Patrick Queen faces off against his former team. The game is set to take place on Sunday, November 17th at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted on CBS.
