In a ceremony held on Monday, the National Football Foundation and the College Football Hall of Fame unveiled the illustrious Class of 2023, honoring standout players who left an indelible mark on collegiate football. Among the distinguished inductees are three former Philadelphia Eagles who not only graced the NFL with their talents but also etched their names in college football history.

Brian Westbrook – Villanova University
Brian Westbrook, the revered running back and a fan-favorite during his tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles, has now achieved another milestone as the first Villanova player to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Westbrook’s collegiate career at Villanova was nothing short of spectacular, as he concluded his time with the Wildcats holding an impressive 41 school records. His excellence in college football paved the way for a remarkable NFL career, during which he led the Eagles to Super Bowl XXXIX against the New England Patriots.
Troy Vincent – University of Wisconsin
Troy Vincent, a standout defensive back and a key figure in the Philadelphia Eagles’ storied history, has been rightfully recognized for his outstanding contributions to college football. Vincent, a two-time All-Big Ten selection at the University of Wisconsin, displayed exceptional skills that translated seamlessly into his NFL career. During his time with the Eagles from 1996-2003, Vincent earned Pro Bowl selections for five consecutive years (1999-2003) and was later inducted into the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame in 2012. Currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the National Football League, Vincent continues to make significant contributions to the sport.
Jeremy Maclin – University of Missouri
Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, known for his dynamic playmaking abilities, made a significant impact during his college years at the University of Missouri. In just two seasons with the Tigers, Maclin shattered multiple school records and contributed to victories in the Cotton Bowl (2007 vs. Arkansas) and Alamo Bowl (2008 vs. Northwestern). Drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 19th overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft, Maclin continued to dazzle fans with his skills until 2014.
