The 2024 NFL Draft Order has been Revised

Published on

The Bears didn’t have to wait as long this year for the No. 1 draft slot as they did in Week 18 last year. Carolina’s struggles will give Chicago the No. 1 overall pick for a second straight year. How the Bears use that pick will be a major storyline for the NFL in 2024.

The Cardinals’ unexpected win in Philadelphia has impacted the 2024 draft order, knocking them down two slots. As a result, the Commanders now hold the No. 2 pick, previously held by the Patriots.

The Commanders have benched Sam Howell and were planning to do the same for Week 17, but a setback with Jacoby Brissett changed the plans. The Ron Rivera era in Washington is coming to an end, and there may be changes in the front office as well. The Commanders are showing interest in a connection with Caleb Williams, and their interest will be affected by what the Bears do with the No. 1 pick. There have also been talks of the Bears considering another season with Justin Fields, and the Cardinals have Kyler Murray under a high-stakes contract. This makes the Commanders a team to watch for potential QB investment.

Bill Belichick’s future with the Patriots is also a significant factor for 2024. Although he is not eager to leave New England, the franchise faces an important decision. Belichick or his replacement could potentially hold a top-three pick in 2024, which could be complicated by another win in Week 18.

Here is the 2024 draft order entering Week 18:

  1. Chicago Bears (via Panthers)
  2. Washington Commanders: 4-12
  3. New England Patriots: 4-12
  4. Arizona Cardinals: 4-12
  5. New York Giants: 5-11

  10. Chicago Bears: 7-9
  11. Las Vegas Raiders: 7-9
  12. Minnesota Vikings: 7-9
  13. New Orleans Saints: 8-8
  14. Denver Broncos: 8-8
  15. Seattle Seahawks: 8-8
  16. Cincinnati Bengals: 8-8
