The Rams signed their final draftee, first-rounder Jared Verse, making him officially part of the team, as announced by the organization.
In the 2024 season, the Rams, led by head coach Sean McVay, made their first-round selection, adding defensive player Jared Verse. Although initially targeting tight end Brock Bowers, the Rams ended up drafting Verse at No. 19, following the selections of Laiatu Latu and Dallas Turner. Verse signed a four-year deal worth $15.13MM with a $7.83MM signing bonus, including a 5th-year option for 2028.
During his time at Florida State, Verse showcased his skills, earning All-ACC honors for his impressive sack and tackle numbers. With Aaron Donald’s retirement leaving a gap in the Rams’ defense, Verse is expected to contribute significantly in pass-rush and run defense, likely starting alongside Byron Young. Braden Fiske, the Rams’ second-round pick, will also support him on the defensive line.
