Week 18 unfolded just as football fans had hoped on the NFC side, setting up some exciting wild card matchups. Matthew Stafford’s return to Detroit to play the Lions became official, as did a matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys. Even the Eagles getting a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers seems interesting, as no result would be a surprise. The reigning NFC champs could win or lose, and both would be fitting.

Taking into consideration that the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers are on a bye, here are the BetMGM lines for each 2024 NFC wild card game.

The Eagles had a disappointing last tune-up before the postseason, getting their doors blown off by the New York Giants. Despite being the more talented team on paper, the Eagles have proven time and time again that talent isn’t enough. This has led to a 1.5-point spread between teams with different levels of expectations.

The Lions, one of the NFC’s best teams all season, open as 3.5-point favorites at home against the Rams. This sets the stage for Jared Goff to face his old team and for Matthew Stafford to potentially break the hearts of Lions fans once more.

The Cowboys open as the biggest NFC favorites of the week, laying seven points against the Packers. The Packers, led by Jordan Love, will have to face the Cowboys at home, where they finished the season 8-0. This matchup carries the weight of Mike McCarthy’s playoff struggles and Dallas’ own challenges in advancing through the postseason.
