Positive Update on Dallas Goedert and Other Eagles Players in Injury Report

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their first official injury report on Wednesday in advance of their Week 14 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Note that this report is an estimation because the team held a walkthrough in lieu of a normal practice.

Two players were listed under DID NOT PARTICIPATE: Darius Slay and Julio Jones.

Slay is listed with a “rest/knee” designation. The Eagles are likely managing him to get him to Sunday. Still, not ideal that he’s less than 100% going up against the Cowboys’ passing attack.

Jones is dealing with a groin injury. We’ll see if he’s able to do more in practice as the week goes along. He’s not as needed now with Quez Watkins back and Dallas Goedert expected to return.

Three players were listed under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: Fletcher Cox, Zach Cunningham, and Jack Stoll.

Cox was able to play in Week 13 despite not practicing last week. So, one would think he should be good to go in Dallas.

Cunningham is reportedly expected to return to the field this week. The Eagles could sure use their top linebacker back after watching his replacements really struggle.

Stoll got banged up late in Week 13. He might be able to play this week and serve as TE2 behind Goedert.

Two players were listed under FULL PARTICIPATION: Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra.

Goedert is on track to play for the first time since he got hurt in Week 9. The Eagles getting him back figures to be a nice boost for the offense.

Calcaterra is on track to play and be TE3 if Stoll is healthy or TE2 if he’s not. Albert Okwuegbunam will likely go back to being a healthy scratch.

D’Andre Swift notably avoided making the injury report after (unnecessarily) taking a big hit in garbage time against the 49ers. Good to see.

The Cowboys are pretty healthy for this game coming off a mini-bye, having last played on Thursday night.
