Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …
Top 10 backup QB situations ahead of the 2024 season: Chiefs, Eagles and Vikings among the best-prepared teams – CBS Sports
KENNY PICKETT: Pickett was more scrappy than reliable in two sluggish seasons with the Steelers, and it’s unclear if the 2022 first-round pick has the passing zip to ever command No. 1 duties again. But his surroundings are exceedingly superior in Philadelphia, where he’ll enjoy Pro Bowlers at basically every supporting spot. He also shares one thing in common with starter Jalen Hurts: Durability concerns notwithstanding, he’s shown a knack for gutsy throws in critical spots, making him a potential fan favorite in his home area.
Report: Jalen Hurts’ handling of Nick Sirianni question “disappointed several key figures” in the Eagles’ organization – BGN
Much has been made of Jalen Hurts’ responses to two questions about Nick Sirianni more than a week ago now. Probably too much. Had this exchange happened, say, during a game week … or even earlier in the offseason workout program … it might not be getting as much attention as it is right now when there just isn’t much else going on news-wise. That being said, more than one thing can be true. Hurts’ comments might not be worth the full extent of attention they’ve been generating, at least locally. But the responses can also be more than a total non-issue.
Eagles rookie NFL player comparisons: WR Johnny Wilson – PhillyVoice
As a reminder, this rookie comp series is not meant to be predictive of each players’ success or lack thereof in the NFL. It is merely an exercise to say, “This rookie reminds me of (fill in some recognizable name) because of X, Y, and Z.” With that disclaimer in place, Wilson has a lot of similarities to Marques Colston, the former late Day 3 Saints receiver who played in the NFL for 10 years, six of which he topped 1000 yards. (I also considered Darren Waller as a comp, since he began his NFL career as a wide receiver before moving to tight end.)
What did James Franklin say in Saquon Barkley tampering probe? NFL won’t say – PFT
Penn State coach James Franklin sparked the NFL’s investigation as to whether the Eagles tampered with former Giants running back Saquon Barkley by blurting out that G.M. Howie Roseman’s pitch to Saquon Barkley included pointing out the number of Penn State fans who are Eagles fans. It was enough to get Franklin interviewed by the league. So we asked the league the simple question of whether Franklin recanted or revised his remarks. “Not going to comment on Coach Franklin,” the league said.
Kate Scott to be featured in Madden 25 – NBCSP
ate Scott has been the television voice of the Sixers for the past three seasons, and she is taking her talents to video games. EA Sports announced some new features for Madden 25, which will be released later this summer. Among them, they announced some new commentary teams. Scott will be paired with former NFL quarterback and current broadcaster Brock Huard.
Latest report suggests Dak Prescott, not CeeDee Lamb, is priority extension for Cowboys – Blogging The Boys
This runs counter to reports from earlier in the offseason (again, things are allowed to change) and also suggest that the Cowboys do want to lock Prescott down to an extension. If that is the case, as we have been saying all along with regards to this subject, then delaying matters the way that have has cost them money in the process. Put more frankly it has been done in about the least efficient manner possible, assuming this is in fact their intention. Beyond that point though, why would the priorities have suddenly changed? Cards on the table here, it is my opinion and preference that Dallas brings Dak back, but why is he now a more pressing extension to take care of over Lamb? Especially if at some point in time that was not the case? Nothing has happened to change the status quo from a facts standpoint.

Jayden Daniels has signed his rookie contract with the Washington Commanders – Hogs Haven
The Washington Commanders announced that they have officially signed QB Jayden Daniels to his rookie contract. He was the 2nd-overall pick in this year’s draft, and the first pick of the Josh Harris/Adam Peters/Dan Quinn era. Daniels won the Heisman Trophy during his final season at LSU, making a big jump in skill, and maturity that made him shoot up draft boards. Jayden Daniels has been taking First-Team reps this offseason, and is easily projected to be Washington’s Week 1 starter over veteran backup Marcus Mariota. Dan Quinn said there will be competition at every position, including QB, but Daniels would need a lot of things to go wrong to not be QB1 this season.
Taylor Swift is a … Mecole Hardman fan? – SB Nation
The Kansas City Chiefs unveiled their latest Super Bowl rings on Thursday, with everyone and their grandmother there. Except for Taylor Swift, the noted football junkie and girlfriend of Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Swift was on tour in England, but burned the midnight oil to hop on Instagram live to help the team celebrate their new rings.
