49ers

49ers QBs coach Brian Griese expressed that QB Brock Purdy has shown notable improvement in leadership and has been using his voice more frequently this season.

“Brock is typically reserved, which the team respects about him,” Griese mentioned, as reported by Nick Wagoner of ESPN. “However, there are times when you need to be more assertive. You must hold yourself accountable and also hold others accountable in various situations like practice, games, or tough periods during the season. Being a leader of a team requires this skill, and for a young quarterback, it can be challenging.”

49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan believes that Purdy deserved the team captain title and has earned the respect of his teammates.

“I believe that when you have achieved what you have achieved on the field, leadership becomes easier,” Shanahan stated. “No matter how you lead or demand things from others, if you haven’t shown success on the field, it won’t last long. Based on his performance, he has gained their respect on the field, and they know him inside and out. No one respects Brock more as a person than by how much they respect him on the field.”

49ers Tight End George Kittle noted that Purdy commands the attention of the locker room.

“When he speaks, everyone listens,” Kittle remarked. “That’s what you want from your quarterback – a genuine leader who has earned it and now has found his voice.”

Cardinals

Cardinals Running Back James Conner mentioned that his body feels good despite shouldering the rushing workload for Arizona in recent weeks.

I feel okay,” Conner shared. “After leaving State Farm Sunday night, I came straight here for sauna, cold tub, and other recovery routines to stay ahead of it.”

Conner emphasized that he is focused on staying healthy and is prepared to continue carrying the full workload in the backfield.

At this stage, I understand what’s required,” Conner stated. “I know the player I am, the team we want to be, and the physicality we preach. Being able to deliver week after week is essential.”

Rams

Rams sixth-round Wide Receiver Jordan Whittington is ready to step up as a starting wide receiver after injuries have depleted the team.

I feel fully prepared,” he expressed via Rams Wire. “I attribute this to the guidance and mentality instilled by the veterans in the room. Despite the loss of key leaders, we have to step up and perform as required.”
