Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …Nick Bosa said the 49ers figured out Jalen Hurts: ‘Hopefully the Cowboys watch the tape’ – Inquirer

“Jalen is looking at the rush every play,” Bosa told reporters on Wednesday. “So you just have to be disciplined and not give him that quick escape route. … When you play on a good team like this, a really good team, you have to sometimes give up some of the selfish-type statistics, rushing out of your gap, stuff like that, for the bigger picture, and I think we did that great. We made Jalen stay in the pocket and escape outside instead of those B gaps [between the tackle and guard], and it paid off.” […] “We put the blueprint out there,” Bosa said Wednesday. “Hopefully the Cowboys watch the tape.”

Eagles Film Analysis: All-22 defense takeaways from the 49ers game – BGN

I am stunned that Nolan Smith and Sydney Brown didn’t get more playing time in this game. They both looked really good when they played. I think people can forget that whilst there are major question marks about Nolan Smith as a pass rusher, he was a fantastic run defender in college. Similarly, Sydney Brown is a fantastic run defender. I would have loved to have seen Sydney Brown get some more reps from the slot when the 49ers were in heavy personnel, or even as a hybrid linebacker/safety in place of Christian Elliss. I found the Eagles’ use of personnel odd in this game. I haven’t even got any clips of Eli Ricks in this one, but what on earth was that all about? He came in a handful of times and was asked to line up and play man coverage in the slot where he got badly beaten nearly every time he was on the field. I’m not a huge fan of the Eagles’ use of personnel this year.

NFC East Mixtape Vol.141: Doing it live for Cowboys/Eagles – BGN Radio

On this special live recording, Brandon Lee Gowton and RJ Ochoa preview the Eagles-Cowboys Week 14 matchup and answer your questions!

Cowboys Week – Iggles Blitz

The Cowboys are the hottest team in football. The Eagles are coming off a major beatdown. As crazy as it sounds, I think these circumstances favor the guys in green. You want Dallas hearing how great they are. Their offense is unstoppable. Dak Prescott should win MVP. CeeDee Lamb is a combination of Jerry Rice, Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson. The Dallas defense is making big play after big play. Having Micah Parson and Daron Bland is like seeing LT and Deion playing together. The Eagles are probably the worst 10-2 team in sports history. The offense stinks. Jalen Hurts is a mess. The defense is awful. The CFP committee would probably choose Florida State over the Eagles. The sky high Cowboys are taking on the poor old Eagles. What is the line for this game, 20 points? 25 points? Why even bother playing? The Eagles aren’t trash-talking. They aren’t thinking about last year. They’re quiet and focused. That’s exactly what you want. Maybe having Deebo Samuel feed them multiple helpings of humble pie will turn out to be a good thing. You know Nick Sirianni and Hurts are as focused and driven as they possibly can be. Losing is bad, but getting absolutely dominated is a whole other level of bad.

‘It’s really tough:’ Zach Cunningham helping Shaq Leonard prepare for Eagles debut – NBCSP

HurtsAdelphia – Great Jalen Hurts and Da Birds gear

Zach Cunningham knows exactly how challenging it is coming in late and trying to learn the defense. Because a few months ago he had to do the exact same thing. The Eagles signed Cunningham two weeks into training camp, so he missed OTAs and all the spring practices and two weeks of camp, but at least he had a month before the season opener against the Patriots. “I would say it took maybe a few weeks (to get acclimated),” he said Thursday. “Something like that.” Now Shaq Leonard has to do the same thing. Only he has less than a week to do it. The Eagles’ linebacker carousel has been in motion all summer. It was only a few months ago that guys like Davion Taylor, Shaun Bradley and Myles Jack were getting 1st-team reps alongside Nakobe Dean. Things have sure changed.

Duffy: What happened to the Cowboys’ offense since the first matchup? – PE.com

Prescott is playing at an extremely high level right now, and when you look at his numbers over the last four games, he ranks near the top of most of the important quarterback passing metrics. His command of the offense is palpable, conducting like a seasoned maestro in the pre-snap phase while executing with surgical precision after the snap. His ball placement and overall accuracy stand out at all three levels, and he’s also creating more often outside the pocket than what he had been doing in the beginning of the year. When I began my study of the Cowboys’ offense leading into the Week 9 matchup last month, I saw a pass game in the beginning of the season that was often disjointed. Receivers were not on the same page as the quarterback. There was no real threat outside of star receiver CeeDee Lamb. Prescott was forcing the issue in key spots, leading to turnovers, especially down in the red zone. Through eight weeks, the Cowboys ranked 29th in the league red zone touchdown percentage, and their efficiency in most other areas was good … but not great. Fast forward five weeks and those numbers at the top speak for themselves. So, what has changed? Here’s what the film and numbers have shown since the season’s mid-point, and it starts with additional aggression downfield.

The Week 14 NFL Betting Props Playbook – ESPN+

CeeDee Lamb anytime TD (-133): Players with a TD projection of 0.88 or above have found the end zone in 20 out of 25 cases this season. Lamb’s checks in at 0.90 for Week 14. A high TD projection should be no surprise for a player who has found the end zone in four straight games and in five of his last six. Lamb has seen 17 end zone targets — two more than any other player. He’s in an excellent spot this week against an Eagles defense that has faced the most WR targets and allowed the most WR receptions and touchdowns (23) this season. That includes at least one WR touchdown in 11 out of 12 games. (The exception, naturally, was the Jets.)

NFL says QB push play is being discussed, Roger Goodell has not expressed an opinion – PFT

Whether you call it the Tush Push or the Brotherly Shove, the quarterback sneak that the Eagles run so effectively and other teams can’t seem to figure out remains a hot topic of conversation within the NFL. But the league says Commissioner Roger Goodell isn’t putting his thumb on the scale about any potential rule change. On a conference call to preview next week’s owners meetings, NFL Executive VP Jeff Miller dismissed reporting that Goodell has taken a stance on banning the play, saying that the league continues to have an open mind about whether the rules need to be modified. That confirms what PFT has previously reported, which is that the play is under review but the Commissioner has expressed no opinion.

Patriots claim linebacker/special teamer Christian Elliss off waivers from Eagles – Pats Pulpit

The New England Patriots are adding to their linebacker and special teams groups. As was announced via the NFL transactions wire on Thursday, the team has claimed Christian Elliss after he was recently put on waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles. Elliss, 24, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent out of Idaho in 2021. He bounced between Minnesota, Philadelphia and San Francisco as a rookie before eventually returning to the Eagles later that same season. He went on appeared in a combined 22 regular season and playoff games for the club over the three years since. Seeing most of his action on special teams, the 6-foot-3, 231-pounder has experience on five units: he was used on kickoff and punt coverage, both return squads, and was part of the Eagles’ field goal/extra point blocking operation. Elliss registered five kicking game tackles — tied for most on the team — through…
