The Philadelphia Eagles’ late-season debacle was hard to explain.

This team was 10-1 at one point in the campaign, and they wound up losing six of their final seven matchups, including a road postseason loss.

The Eagles had a huge lead in the divisional title race over the Dallas Cowboys and they let it slip right through their fingers.

HC Nick Sirianni shuffled his coaching staff, but it didn’t do much to help, and some of his decisions were as questionable as they were erratic.

Recently, Craig Carton reported that he was aware of one of the many issues that took place in the locker room, with Adam Schefter later claiming that a source of his stated that none of that happened.

Now, in today’s edition of The Carton Show, Carton stated that the fact that they went out of their way to deny a story that he didn’t even clarify only speaks volumes of it actually being true.

More than that, he pointed at a report by Eagles beat writer Derrick Gunn that stated that the team went south as soon as Dom DiSandro was banned from the sidelines after his altercation with Dre Greenlaw.

Big Dom, the Eagles’ security chief, apparently ‘controls Sirianni’s emotions on the sidelines,’ so his absence led to multiple arguments with his staff members and players.

Carton called the Eagles a ‘clown’ organization for not firing Sirianni, even though they knew they had to have someone babysitting him to avoid him getting in trouble:

“The fact that the Eagles didn’t fire Nick Sirianni and they brought him back knowing that he’s the root cause of a lot of the problems that took place with the Eagles this year makes them a bit of a clown organization, he said.

Truth be told, it’s hard to argue with that logic.

Carton never said what happened in the locker room, so what exactly are they denying?

As for Sirianni, the second half of the season took a massive toll on his reputation, and he’s likely going to be on thin ice at the beginning of the season.
