The Panthers have been active in making changes to their front office staff recently, along with several other NFC teams. Carolina has announced two moves and two new hires this month.

One of the moves involves area scout Caden McCloughan relocating from the west coast to the southwest, as reported by Neil Stratton of SucceedinFootball.com. McCloughan has been with the team for three years, starting as a scouting intern in 2022. Joining him as an area scout is Kaleb Leach, who has been promoted to northeast area scout after joining the team in 2022. Leach started as a scouting assistant and has experience playing and scouting in international football.

The two new hires are pro scout Adam Maxie and scouting assistant Gabby Weinrich. Maxie brings NFL experience dating back to 2017, with previous roles including quality control coach with the Buccaneers, scouting intern with the Vikings, and pro scout with the Raiders. Weinrich will take over Leach’s former position as scouting assistant. She attended scout school with the Jets in 2022, worked as a training camp intern with the Bears the following year, and has experience as a player personnel and recruiting assistant for the University of Nebraska. This will be her first full-time position in the NFL.

Here are some other front office updates from NFC teams, starting with another NFC South team:

• The Falcons have promoted Nathan Ellis from scouting assistant to scouting coordinator, according to Stratton. Ellis previously worked as a pro scouting intern for the Chargers and joined Atlanta as a scouting intern last summer before earning a full-time position at the start of the season. His previous role was as a recruiting assistant/coordinator at the University of South Carolina.
• The Cardinals have also made changes to their scouting staff, as reported by Stratton. Chad Jenkins has transitioned from NFS scout to area scout after joining the team in 2018 following stints at Tulane and Tennessee State. Stephen Wise will now take over the NFS scout role, moving from his position as a scouting assistant. Wise began with the team in 2021 after serving as a football recruiting assistant at South Carolina, where he worked alongside Ellis for a period. Andrew Ford has been promoted from scouting assistant to pro scout. Ford, a former quarterback at UMass, will now focus on scouting for Arizona. Additionally, Landon Grier has been hired to fill one of the two newly created scouting assistant roles. Grier, a recent graduate of South Carolina, will start his career in the NFL with this position.
