The Philadelphia Eagles’ roster is down to the 53-player limit after Tuesday’s cuts deadline. The tinkering is far from over, however.
Wednesday’s action involves the NFL waiver wire and the formation of a 16-player practice squad. The Eagles rank 22nd in the claiming order (which mirrors the previous draft order), so, we’ll see if anyone of interest falls to their spot. The results will be revealed after the claiming period ends at 12:00 PM Eastern with practice squad formation beginning shortly thereafter.

UPDATES
All times Eastern.
[3:05 PM] – The Eagles officially announced 14 practice squad signings, though Laekin Vakalahi does not count towards the 16-player limit as an international exemption. So, they have three spots remaining. Players previously not mentioned here include: Will Grier, Parris Campbell, Oren Burks, Caden Sterns, and brand new addition wide receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint. MRJ, an undrafted rookie free agent, spent this offseason with the Washington Commanders.
[3:03 PM] – Looks like Julian Okwara is joining the Arizona Cardinals and not returning to the Eagles. Jonathan Gannon disappoints everyone in Philly once again. (Source)
[3:01 PM] – Brandon Smith was also spotted at Eagles practice. Glad he’s back, he could’ve made the roster in years past where the Birds were even thinner at linebacker. (Source)
[3:00 PM] – Tyrion Davis-Price was spotted at Eagles practice, so, apparently he’s back on the practice squad. Definitely worth having around as a fourth running back option. (Source)
[2:17 PM] – As we predicted, Jack Stoll is returning to Philly after being cut by the New York Giants. More tight end depth on the practice squad. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Eagles temporarily elevate him for some games to be an extra blocker/special teams contributor. They can also sign him to the roster after Week 1 to avoid guaranteeing his entire 2024 salary. (Source)
[2:14 PM] – The Eagles are bringing undrafted rookie free agent Gabe Hall back on the practice squad. (Source)
[1:58 PM] – Former Eagles backup offensive lineman Jack Driscoll got cut by the Miami Dolphins after making their initial roster. Could we see Driscoll return to Philly to provide more OL depth? (Source)
[1:53 PM] – The Eagles are bringing Nick Gates back on the practice squad. He’s reportedly set to be elevated to the game day roster for Week 1, signaling that he’s the top backup center option behind Cam Jurgens. (Source)
[1:40 PM] – Potential Eagles target veteran tight end Donald Parham (Kellen Moore connection) signed with the Denver Broncos’ practice squad. (Source)
[12:57 PM] – The Eagles are bringing Dylan McMahon back on the practice squad. Good to not be losing the 2024 sixth-round pick, especially when the Eagles only have one full-time center on the roster. (Source)
[12:54 PM] – Eagles 2021 sixth-round pick Tarron Jackson is signing with the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad. Jackson is a South Carolina native. (Source)
[12:47 PM] – The Eagles are bringing Andre’ Sam back on the practice squad. (Source)
[12:44 PM] – The Eagles are bringing E.J. Jenkins back on the practice squad. Nice to have the extra TE depth when they only kept two on the roster. (Source)
[12:42 PM] – None of the Eagles’ cuts were claimed off waivers. All of them are therefore eligible to return on the practice squad. Also, the Eagles did not successfully claim any players who got cut by other teams.
