NBC’s Peacock-only NFL wild-card game on Saturday featured an unexpected pregame guest: CNBC financial analyst Jim Cramer.
Cramer braved the frigid temperatures in Kansas City to provide his insights for the day’s Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins game, although nobody was really sure why he was there in the first place since he’s not exactly an NFL expert.
NBC analysts Jac Collinsworth and Rodney Harrison joked with Cramer about that very thing, which makes even less sense when you consider that the latter is a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and this game had nothing to do with the Eagles.
Maybe it’s just network cross-promotion, but it was still a very odd sight to see during playoff coverage.

Look, this isn’t really a deal in the grand scheme of things, and if Cramer wants to power through the chill to work the Dolphins-Chiefs game, more power to him.
It’s just such a strange programming decision that NFL fans also didn’t really get in the moment (and had plenty of jokes about them betting against his game pick and the random appearance in general).
You’re not part of this Jim. Go birds

In my opinion, NBC has by far the worst NFL pregame show. Jim Cramer???? Really???

Jim Cramer shoehorned onto the #NFL pregame in Kansas City means something… but I don’t know what (isn’t he a Philly guy…?) pic.twitter.com/7irUl8aGc7
