Week 16 of the 2023 NFL season is set to begin on Thursday night, and the Eagles are beginning preparation for a critical Monday matchup against the New York Giants. Philadelphia is 10-4 after three straight losses, and Jalen Hurts is losing his standing in the MVP race. One the actual measuring sticks of his candidacy will be where he lands in Total QBR entering the playoffs. When evaluating quarterback play, a trusted metric is ESPN’s Total QBR rating, which does more than take into account statistics. According to ESPN, Adjusted Total Quarterback Rating (QBR) “values the quarterback on all play types on a 0-100 scale adjusted for the strength of opposing defenses.” So where do Hurts and other NFL quarterbacks, including the Cowboys Dak Prescott, Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, 49ers’ Brock Purdy, Bills’ Josh Allen, and Chiefs Patrick Mahomes, rank entering Week 16 of the 2023 NFL season?
