Giants cornerback Adoree’ Jackson has expressed his desire to sign a new contract with Big Blue, but reports suggest that the team may not be interested in bringing him back. According to Paul Schwartz of The New York Post, it is unlikely that Jackson will re-sign with the Giants, and he may be looking for a new team once free agency begins next month.

After completing his three-year, $39MM deal with the Giants, Jackson, who will be turning 29 soon, is now set to explore options as a free agent. Despite a strong performance in his first year with the team, his subsequent struggles in the 2023 season have raised concerns about his future with the Giants.

Although Jackson has shown flashes of brilliance as a starting cornerback, his inconsistency in recent seasons and injury history have led to doubts about his long-term viability with the team. Spotrac projects that he could still command a significant contract in the open market, but other sources suggest a more modest deal based on his recent performance.

Should Jackson be forced to take a short-term contract to prove himself, he will have the opportunity to showcase his skills and potentially secure a better deal in the future. His upcoming season will be crucial in determining his market value and future in the NFL.
