Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …
NFL contracts: Could Prescott, Chase be next for big paydays? – ESPN+
Latest on negotiations: Team owner Jerry Jones might have been delighted to hear Prescott say during OTAs that he doesn’t “play for money,” but he knows the final price on an agreement will be significant, perhaps higher than the $55 million annually Joe Burrow makes as the league’s highest-paid quarterback. To date, there haven’t been meaningful talks between the sides. While the Cowboys have been criticized for waiting to get a deal done, Prescott has shown patience. It worked for the signal-caller in 2021 when he signed his four-year, $160 million deal, and it could work again. Getting something done before the season starts would be preferable for the Cowboys, but the final deadline is early March. Without a deal before the 2025 league year, Prescott will count $40.5 million against the cap and likely be headed to a new team, following the path Kirk Cousins went through this offseason.
Cowboys continue to draw national skepticism for not extending any top priority player – Blogging The Boys
Nobody understands what is taking so long. Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons are all hanging in the balance for the Dallas Cowboys to varying degrees as far as their contracts with the team are concerned. You may feel that the team should be focused on bringing back one, two, or all three of these players. However you feel it is rather unlikely that you want to see them all sign their seemingly-inevitable extensions with different teams. This is why the lack of pens swooshing across papers feels so strange. You can make arguments against extending Dak Prescott if you really want to, but it is rather difficult to do so with CeeDee Lamb or Micah Parsons. Again, it is pretty impossible to do it for both. As the summer season is now here and the offseason rolls along, the national media – like all of us – remains flummoxed by the way that the Cowboys brain trust is approaching this whole thing. Last week ESPN’s Bill Barnwell handed out offseason superlatives to every team and when it came to the Cowboys he leaned into the infamous “all-in” comments and how nothing that Dallas has done has lived up to that claim.
Report: Eagles, Patriots will hold one joint training camp practice – BGN

Eagles rookie NFL player comparisons: EDGE Jalyx Hunt – PhillyVoice
Hunt’s profile reminds me of the Colts’ Samson Ebukam. Like Hunt, Ebukam was an undersized developmental prospect with plus athleticism who came from a small school (Eastern Washington). Ebukam is somewhat smaller but had a little better testing numbers.
Ranking every opposing quarterback on Eagles’ 2024 schedule – NBCSP
4. Jordan Love. Week 1 vs. Packers in Brazil. Love is entering Year 2 as a starter with extremely high expectations. We all saw the way he played in the second half of last year and his incredible playoff win against the Cowboys in the wild card round. Now it’s time to see Love put together another big season like that. Because he’s off to a really good start. In 2023, he ended up throwing for over 4,100 yards with 32 touchdowns and 11 picks. He has huge potential.
We Need the Video (EDIT- got it) of Kylie Kelce Telling Off Some Heathen Who Wouldn’t Stop Bothering Her For a Picture – Crossing Broad
UPDATE: We got the video! Well, at least eight seconds of it anyway. Completely watermarked to shit too. Do any of these kids nowadays know how to properly edit? Anyway, it’s a solid eight seconds and shout out to Kylie for handling it as well as she could. This woman will probably be found in two hours and we’ll have an apology live on the 11 pm Action News spot.
Quez Watkins sees “great opportunity” with Steelers this season – PFT
The departed receivers were targeted more than 130 times last season and Watkins sees a big chance to make an impression as a result of the changes. “For me, when I saw they traded Diontae, it was a great opportunity to potentially be a No. 2 or whatever they want me to do,” Watkins said, via Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “It’s a good opportunity to compete for that spot.”
Darius Slayton joins New York Giants’ voluntary workouts – Big Blue View
Darius Slayton was in attendance for New York Giants’ voluntary workouts on Tuesday. The on-field practice was apparently the first time Slayton has joined the team for any of this spring’s voluntary workouts. Several of the photos released by the team from Tuesday’s OTA, the fourth of 10 scheduled on-field practices, were of Slayton catching passes or running drills. In the final year of a two-year, $12 million contract ($6 million guaranteed), Slayton has been staying away from workouts in an apparent attempt to push the Giants to offer him a contract extension.
The 5 O’Clock Club: Commanders franchise still tarred by the transgressions of the former owner – Hogs Haven
That final sentence, which I have bolded for emphasis, made me wonder about the perception of the Washington franchise. As Washington fans, I think that most of us have drawn a line between what happened before Josh Harris bought the team and what has happened since. Even so, there is a general understanding that, due to the timing of the sale, there has been carryover from one ownership era to the next. For example, after taking over the team in July, Harris didn’t make any changes to the coaching staff for 2023. Also, initial moves with respect to the front office and roster were measured while the calendar still read 2024, with the hiring of Eugene Shen and the trading of Montez Sweat and Chase Young being the headline events.
