Bears TE Cole Kmet mentioned that first-round QB Caleb Williams has started organizing off-season workouts for the team.

“We’re currently working on some plans,” Kmet stated, as reported by Bears Wire. “We are in the process of coordinating all of that.”

Packers

Packers WR Christian Watson talked about his off-season journey towards full fitness.

“For me, it was mainly the imbalance between my legs,” Watson explained, as mentioned by ESPN’s Rob Demovsky. “It stems from various factors, including issues with past hamstring injuries and incomplete recovery in terms of strength. I have been focusing on improving my strength and restoring symmetry, which has been incredibly beneficial. I feel really strong and I have to keep working hard at it.”

Packers HC Matt LaFleur is cautiously optimistic but noted that Watson and CB Eric Stokes seem to be in excellent condition.

“Only time will tell,” LaFleur commented. “We still need to get through the entire off-season and into training camp. Training camp involves a lot of work, so once we get through that, we will feel more confident. Both Watson and Stokes seem to be in the best shape I have seen them in.”

Watson talked about reducing the muscle imbalance between his legs, which was as high as 20% at one point but now stands at 8-10%.

“There was obviously a discrepancy between my right and left legs,” Watson elaborated. “This not only strains the stronger leg but also increases the load on the weaker leg. When striving for power equality, the weaker leg undergoes additional stress, leading to fatigue. It’s not an ideal situation, so my top priority has been to eliminate this imbalance.”

Vikings

According to St. Paul Pioneer Press’s Charley Walters, there were rumors that the Vikings were considering trading up from the 11th pick to the 5th pick in the draft to draft WR Malik Nabers ahead of the Giants. Walters suggested that if this plan had materialized, they would have traded WR Justin Jefferson.

“There were whispers during the draft that the Vikings were aiming to move up from the 11th spot to the 5th spot, not for a quarterback but to secure LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers, who was selected as the 6th pick by the Giants. Had the trade happened, Jefferson would have been traded, and Nabers would have become the top receiver.”
