Bengals

Bengals first-round OT Amarius Mims has been getting plenty of reps at RT with OT Trent Brown absent. Bengals RG Alex Cappa and LT Orlando Brown described Mims’ progress.

“He has a good attitude and is a physical freak. That’s always a plus,” Cappa said. “I’ll share my knowledge with him, and he will develop over time. He has a lot to learn, but once he grasps everything mentally, the physical aspect will fall into place.”

“He’s inquisitive, always asking questions about technique, fundamentals, and the league. He’s preparing on and off the field. He’s self-aware and has the right mindset, knowing that we will rely on him at some point this season,” Brown added.

Ravens

Ravens TE Mark Andrews is confident in forming a “special” duo with TE Isaiah Likely in 2024.

“It’s going to be special. When you have two dynamic guys like us, creating mismatches all over the field, it’s tough for opponents to gameplan. We both love to compete and play ball. It will be exciting,” Andrews said.

Andrews emphasized that despite being on the field with Likely, it doesn’t always mean passing plays, as both are skilled blockers.

“As tight ends, we have to do it all to keep the defense honest. Being able to block effectively is crucial. It makes it challenging for defenses to plan against us,” Andrews explained.

Likely mentioned that he is adapting to different roles in their system and benefits from having Andrews back.

“I’m exploring my role as a chess piece in the offense, figuring out where I fit in. When all of us are on the field together, opponents won’t know if it’s a run or pass, creating uncertainty for explosive plays,” Likely stated.

Steelers

Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth is excited about OC Arthur Smith‘s system, which offers many opportunities for tight ends.

“It’s very exciting. With Arthur here, there’s a lot for the tight ends, situations where we can make plays. I’m ready and excited for that,” Freiermuth expressed.

Freiermuth highlighted that Smith’s offense heavily involves tight ends.

“I believe with the new offense, the tight ends will play a significant role,” Freiermuth said.

Reflecting on his injuries in 2023, Freiermuth mentioned that it prompted him to reevaluate his approach to staying healthy.

“Missing time last year was tough, but it made me reassess my process and what I can do to maintain my health,” Freiermuth shared.
