The Philadelphia Eagles provided their initial injury report on Wednesday in preparation for their Week 6 matchup at home against the Cleveland Browns.

This marked the Eagles’ first practice following their bye week, with the players in pads.

The Eagles identified seven players as FULL PARTICIPATION: A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Lane Johnson, Reed Blankenship, Johnny Wilson, Sydney Brown, and Ainias Smith.

The noteworthy update is that A.J., DeVonta, and Johnson are all expected to make a comeback to the field this weekend, which is a significant boost for the Eagles’ offense.

Blankenship and Wilson are also on track to play despite leaving the Eagles’ Week 4 game prematurely.

The Eagles initiated 21-day practice windows for Sydney Brown and Ainias Smith earlier in the week, hinting that Sydney Brown could possibly be activated to the active roster in time for Sunday’s game. The Eagles have until 4:00 PM Eastern on Saturday to make that decision to allow Brown to participate in the game against the Browns. With an open roster spot after releasing Devin White, the team might not rush to activate Ainias Smith, as the rookie could end up being inactive.

The Eagles listed one player under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: Nakobe Dean.

It’s uncertain whether Dean sustained an injury during Wednesday’s practice or had been dealing with an ankle issue previously. More information about his status will become available as the week progresses. With White no longer on the team, the Eagles have Jeremiah Trotter Jr., Ben VanSumeren, and Oren Burks as backup linebacker options.

CLEVELAND BROWNS INJURY REPORT (WEDNESDAY)

The Browns’ injury report is EXTENSIVE, with 20 players listed, and only two of them were fully participating.

Players who didn’t practice include starting wide receiver Amari Cooper (rest day), starting tight end David Njoku, starting center Ethan Pocic, backup left tackle James Hudson, starting edge rusher Myles Garrett, starting cornerback Denzel Ward, starting safeties Grant Delpit and Ronnie Hickman, and backup running back D’Onta Foreman. This signifies a significant number of key players who might miss the upcoming game this weekend.

Nine players were listed under limited participation, including key players like starting running back Nick Chubb, starting left tackle Jedrick Wills, starting right tackle Jack Conklin, starting right guard Zak Zinter, and starting linebacker Jordan Hicks. Four out of five members of the offensive line are on the injury report, with Chubb’s return not yet confirmed despite the 21-day practice window initiation last week. Hicks, who missed Week 5, might return for this crucial game.

Given the circumstances, the Eagles, who are well-rested, may have a significant advantage over an injury-plagued Browns team playing their third consecutive road game.
