The fantasy football season is quickly approaching, and it’s time to be daring. While following the cheat sheet to pick sleepers and avoid busts can be helpful, sometimes you need to take bold risks to come out on top in your draft. This could mean making unexpected picks or passing on big-name players left on the board. Here are some bold predictions for the 2024 season:

1. Patrick Mahomes will finish as the top quarterback this year. While it might not be the most daring prediction with players like Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts in contention, Mahomes’ passing yards are expected to increase with the help of new receivers he gained in the draft and free agency.

2. Chris Godwin will rank among the top 20 wide receivers this season. With a potential change in roles and supporting players, Godwin is primed to have a standout year.

3. Jake Ferguson is set to be this year’s breakout tight end, finishing in the top 3 of the position. With consistent targets in previous games and the absence of a clear second option behind him, Ferguson is expected to deliver impressive yards and red zone performance.

4. Chris Olave is predicted to be a WR1 this year. Despite being drafted as a WR2, he is anticipated to have a strong season with a new quarterback.

5. Derrick Henry might not finish as an RB1 this year. Although it’s difficult to bet against Henry’s consistent performance, his transition to a new team could result in a lower ranking among running backs.

6. Stefon Diggs is not likely to be a top-30 wide receiver this season due to a crowded receiving corps on his team.

7. Tyjae Spears is expected to outscore Tony Pollard despite the latter signing a substantial contract recently. Spears’ explosive playing style could give him an edge over Pollard.

8. Devin Singletary is projected to be a top-20 running back this year due to his potential role in the team’s offensive strategy.

9. Khalil Shakir is expected to be the WR1 for the Bills instead of Keon Coleman, as Shakir has existing chemistry with the team’s quarterback.
